Want to see evidence of the psychological programming that 4th Watchers have been subjected to? Just look at some of the things these unfortunate programmed individuals say. It is clear what has happened to them. We warn you though, as it's very sad.

If these persons don't sound like programmed individuals, then we don't know who does. These persons are desperately in need of deprogramming after what their apostle has done to them. It is clear that the PMCC 4th Watch is a cult, verified by the members' own mouths.

Section 5: Devotion

4th Watcher

Devotion is very important in the 4th Watch. Members are expected to be completely devoted to their god and leader. They are trained to believe in and worship God without question. They do not question their leader's apostleship, and believe everything that he says and teaches. Complete loyalty to their leader and his church are required for salvation, and members must give their leader and church money to buy that salvation. Just as well, 4th Watch members are expected to be life long devoted members of the church. They are expected to go to church as many times during the week as they can, worship as many times a day that they can, including the entire Sunday, and they are encouraged to give all the money that they can everytime they go. All of their skills are to be used for God and to promote the church. God and the church are to be first in your lives. It is obvious from such behavior the 4th Watch is a cultic environment.

Here are some quotes concerning the devotion of 4th Watchers from 4th Watchers themselves:

Section 6: Worship

Worship in the 4th Watch church is not your typical Sunday worship in your local church down the street. The 4th Watch has a unique way of worshipping their god, and if you have not been convinced so far that they are a cult, you will when you see the way they worship. In fact, watching them worship is one of the creepiest experiences you'll ever see.

At first, they might come off as a normal looking church, singing and looking happy, but things change quickly. Once everyone starts to actually pray, you will often witness and hear the entire room fill with persons crying, speaking in tongues, yelling out chants, shaking, on their knees or laying on the floor, and they yell and cry out loud negative affirmations, such as about how bad they are, how much they deserve death and Hell, but how good God is for saving and loving them, and that they will obey him. Persons act in a very bizarre and creepy manner that is in no way considered mainstream, but could only be described as cultic. During 4th Watch worship, it looks like everyone is abusing some type of illegal substance. A short video clip of this would make a good ad against drug use. Normal churches do not act this way. Persons should go to church to worship, pray, learn about, and connect with God. These 4th Watch cult members go to the extreme and none of it is necessary.

It is no coincidence that most persons in the 4th Watch act this way. They do not just act this way out of personal behavior and attitude, but are encouraged and pushed to act this way. In fact, the entire structure of worship in the 4th Watch is set up purposely to allow for psychological programming to be at its fullest. Reading about programming in earlier pieces, you now know how programming such as brainwashing and mind control is carried out in the 4th Watch, including how singing and crying help to produce emotional responses that increase hypnotic suggestion and vulnerability to absorb false information, which is all done to glorify the leader and to make him money. Just look at the structure of their Sunday worship.

4th Watchers

They waste no time and start with their psychological programming right away by having everyone sing. You already know what singing does. If you didn't read the psychological effects that the 4th Watch attempts to produce through singing and music, click here to read that now. By singing several songs and being encouraged to cry while singing, their minds are made more susceptible to brainwashing and mind control, and they are introduced to several lyrics which basically command them to devote themselves to their God, which they interpret as their cult, while repeating these commands over and over again. This lasts for about fifteen minutes.

After singing and going through an emotional rollercoaster, they board another emotional rollercoaster when they begin to pray, going through the process we just explained previously, crawling on their knees and with their backs on the floor, they cry, they speak in tongues, they yell out chants, and they shake, while yelling and crying out how bad they are, how much they deserve death and Hell, but how good God is for saving and loving them, and that they will obey him, while making themselves even more susceptible to brainwashing and mind control.

After they go through about thirty minutes of psychological attacks, that is when the pastor or some "church elder" begins to finally address the congregation. It is here when the main programming begins. Once all of the members are in a slightly hypnotic state after being treated to several forms of psychological mind-breaking, with their emotions running deep and being filled with hypnotic commands, this person will perform a scripture reading, having everyone read with this person, and absorbing any command, thought, or feeling that the particular scripture is meant to, but usually, it is to strengthen the hypnotic state and to affirm to everyone that they are to obey scriptures and to obey God.

And then, while you are in this hypnotic state and have just affirmed your commitment to the scripture, they give you a good five minute talk called the "offertory" about your obligation to give money to the church. This is where they tell you how great God will make your life if you give him money, and how bad it will be if you don't. It isn't any coincidence that this is the time when they do this. It is done on purpose because this is the main goal of the church, and so it should be no surprise that after everyone has just went through a half hour of psychological warfare and are in hypnotic states with a confirmed commitment to scripture and have been given commands to give money to the church, that this is the time when they send the ushers down the aisle with their donation bags to take everyone's money. Again, this is not a coincidence. The church purposely sets the day up this way, so that they can get money from the congregation and to get as much as they can.

After this and they achieve their most important reward, your money, they begin the next phase while everyone's hypnotic state is still fresh and begin the "announcements". Here, they will often talk about what events are coming up, how much money you will need to save for them, and how much money the church is trying to raise for such events. It's usually connected to money in one way or another.

After they are done with the most important part of the worship ceremony, getting your money, is when they finally get to the message. And this could last for another hour or so. The message they give varies, but it almost always involves in some way, money, how much God loves us, or how many persons he's putting in Hell. After that, they partake in communion, which is pretty close to other Christian religions, except for the fact that the pastor tells the congregation that their right to perform the communion was given to them by their Apostle Arsenio Ferriol. After the communion, a closing prayer is given and everyone shakes hands which could be just another psychological programming method to increase dependency.

As you can clearly see, Sunday worship for the 4th Watch is a scary, psychological battlefield to steal money. And guess what. This is only the first part of the day. They always do this at least one more time on the same Sunday. And, if you think that they only do this on Sunday, think again. They have similar services held on several days of the week, depending on the church. Services on days other than Sunday might not be as grand, but they always talk about tithing and donations. In fact, while the actual messages of the sermons vary throughout the days, the one thing that is constant with every sermon is the offertory. Preaching about tithing is done about a hundred times more than salvation is. This is worship in the 4th Watch!

Section 7: Miscellaneous Practices

Holy Communion

Cults are known for their bizarre rituals. You have already read about the 4th Watch's highly unusual worship and devotion practices, and in a bit, you will also learn about their practice of speaking in tongues. But here you will learn about a cultic practice that is actually common among many mainstream Christian religions, but regardless, can be a truly cultic ritual depending on the beliefs of the church that practices it. This ritual is known as the Holy Communion.

When persons think of cults, they often think of religious groups performing bizarre Satanic rituals involving the drinking of blood and the eating of human flesh. Mainstream Christianity does not engage in this type of behavior...or do they? In actuality, the Christian ritual of communion is seen as a required practice in many branches of Christianity. This ritual involves Christians drinking wine and eating bread as Jesus' disciples did during the Last Supper. Jesus said to drink the wine and eat the bread in order to remember him, as the wine was his blood and the bread was his body. Many Christian churches perform this same ritual every week.

Vampire

Now many persons see the wine and bread as metaphors for blood and flesh, and that by consuming the wine and bread, you are symbolizing Christ being within you. While that might be the view for some religions, that is not the case for most Christian churches that practice the Holy Communion. Of course, normal persons know that wine is wine and bread is bread, and that's the end of that, but many Christian doctrines, like the PMCC 4th Watch cult, actually state the belief that upon consumption, the wine and bread actually become the blood and flesh of Christ. So even if the Christians don't realize it, their doctrine states that they are drinking blood and eating human flesh.

Yes, that's right. We can honestly say that the PMCC 4th Watch cult teaches to engage in a bizarre and Satanic-like ritual that involves the drinking of blood and eating human flesh. We know that of course they really don't do this, but this is exactly what the doctrine states and is what they believe. If drinking blood and eating human flesh does not qualify for a bizarre and Satanic-like ritual, then what does?

Speaking in Tongues

One last main behavior we will touch up on here is a very strange one indeed. Not necessarily dangerous, but it is so weird and so creepy, that it is definitely considered universally as a cultic behavior. We are talking about the 4th Watch's popular use of speaking in tongues. This behavior is one of the more distinctive features of the 4th Watch. Only cults engage in it. It is truly one of the most frightening features of the 4th Watch. For those of you not familiar with speaking in tongues, we will explain it to you.

Speaking in tongues is more formally known as glossolalia, and is apparently seen as a "gift" from God where God actually speaks for you or where you are allowed to speak another language or the divine language of Heaven. Speaking in tongues is actually categorized as two different types.

The first type is where someone who has no knowledge of speaking in any other language is suddenly able to speak it, even with no prior training. The second is what some refer to as an "unverifiable" type, in which a person speaks the language of Heaven, or of the angels, or God. It is of no known language on Earth; it just sounds like gibberish. While the 4th Watch cult recognizes both types, they are cautious to endorse this second kind of tongue language. There is also another related "gift" that 4th Watchers often claim to have, and that is being able to understand or interpret these languages, but not actually be able to speak them. Most 4th Watchers who claim to speak in tongues claim to be able to both speak and interpret such languages.

Of course, anyone who claims to speak in tongues in full of nonsense. If they are speaking another earthly language, then it is because they know how to speak it. If they are speaking the language of God, then they are simply making it up as they go. Someone who actually believes that they are speaking in tongues are either mentally retarded, mentally insane, they acquired the knowledge in speaking another language without even realizing it, which is possible, or the most likely reason, they are lying.

So what is the big deal about speaking in tongues? Why do they do it? What exactly is it about speaking in tongues that is so scary?

4th Watcher

We cannot really answer the first question. We don't exactly know why they engage in this type of behavior. We believe that they might feel that the Bible instructs them to do it. At least, that might be how the apostle interprets it. Also, they see it as a gift from God, and all gifts from God must be used. By speaking in tongues, you are using God's gift to you. 4th Watchers also see that as an honor. Also, perhaps they feel that as they do this, God is inside them, using them, and perhaps it is just a huge honor to be used by God.

As for why it is scary, imagine you are in church. The pastor leads a prayer and everyone bows their head and you all begin to pray. While praying, the pastor starts to cry, and other members begin to cry as well. Then, all of a sudden, one member starts to yell out phrases that you cannot understand, screaming from the top of her lungs, then starts shaking and throwing up her hands. Then, someone else starts doing the same thing, and you have persons with tears in their eyes, shaking uncontrollably while yelling out phrases that don't even make sense. And this happens for several minutes. Just by reading, you probably can't fully understand why it's so creepy, but when you see it for yourself, you never forget it. Seriously, can you imagine sitting in the pew while you listen to the pastor pray, and you have persons around you talking like they have crap in their mouth, while shaking, performing what seems like uncontrollable chants while in a bizarre trance? And they yell out in languages you can't understand and might not even exist?

Anyway, if anybody goes to a church where persons are speaking in tongues, then they are witnessing a cult. No mainstream organization accepts speaking in tongues without being a cult. That's just how it is. If you speak in tongues, you are in a cult. And this kind of environment is no place for children.

Secrecy, Mystery, and Deception

Secrecy, mystery, and deception are prominent features of cults, and are common characteristics of such organizations which make them stand out from others. Certain organizations, such as cults, take part in these kinds of behaviors and mindsets on a degree that no respected organization would practice. Examples of these behaviors and mindsets include:

  • Cult leaders keep secrets from their members.
  • Cult leaders perform rituals only with high-ranking members.
  • Cult leaders are seen taking members into their office and closing and locking the doors.
  • Cult leaders are seen taking members into a secret room.
  • Cults keep valuable information from their members.
  • Cult leaders reveal information only to members who are most loyal to the leader.
  • Cults claim to know the truth about mysteries but they refuse to disclose it to others.
  • Cult leaders claim that they obtained revelations from a deity but they do not reveal it to others or prove that they received it the way they claim to.
  • Cult leaders claim to know valuable information that goes against common knowledge, but claim you will only understand the truth as members of their cult.
  • Cult leaders make an outrageous claim but when asked to prove it, they make it impossible to do so. An example of this is a cult leader who claims that he can be invisible, but it will only work when everyone closes their eyes.
  • Cults and their leaders deceive the public and their members.
  • Cults lie about facts and they make up their own.
  • Cult members use alternative words when they speak in an attempt to hide their true intentions.
  • Cult members use logical fallacies to trick you into believing what they want you to.
  • Cult leaders make glorious promises that they claim will be fulfilled when you join their organization.
  • Cult leaders accuse members of not being true members if the promises made are not fulfilled.

There are many more examples, but these are traditional practices among cultic organizations. Non-cultic organizations do not take part in these types of behaviors and mindsets. When you are a witness to any person or organization which portrays such features, this is usually a red flag, warning you that you are most likely face to face with a cult.

The PMCC 4th Watch is a cult, with Arsenio Ferriol as the cult leader, and these types of examples can be found by this leader and his cult. They do not exhibit all of these features, but it is clear from the ones that they do, that their organization and its leader indeed make up a cultic institution.

Arsenio Ferriol, the 4th Watch's cult leader, makes the claim that God appointed him as the world's only true apostle, and that God gave him a revelation about the end times of the Earth and humankind, that time has been divided into four parts called watches, and that everyone is now living in the fourth and last watch, the end times. This is a bold and ridiculous claim that Arsenio cannot back up or verify, and he has never been tested on this knowledge. The cult calls Arsenio their "Sent One", and says that you cannot truly understand the truth of his Sent One unless you are part of God's true church, Arsenio's cult. Many members of the 4th Watch believe this claim, yet there are plenty of individuals who have left the church, never accepting this supposed truth. The 4th Watchers claim that this is because they are not true Christians and that their heart was never with God, but in reality, it is only when persons join and become brainwashed by the cult do they actually believe in the lies that their Apostle tells them.

This type of cultic behavior and mindset was made more evident by a current member of the cult who tried to convince us that Arsenio's religion is the true church because it is entirely based off of the Bible. He said that in order for a church to be true, it must have a proper Biblical name. Here is what he said:

table section spacer table section spacer
spacer The right name of the true church is the one that teaches who is the owner of the church.

table section spacer table section
spacer Matthew 16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. In this verse, Christ said, "my church."
spacer
table section spacer table section

table section spacer table section
spacer John 17:9
I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.
spacer
table section spacer table section

The church also belongs to God. Therefore, the right name of the true church is Church of Christ or Church of God. The church is not a property of anyone. It is Christ's and God's property.

Why Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ 4th Watch? The name of the true church is Church of Christ, but what kind of Church of Christ? There are many so called "Churches of Christ"nowadays. It is a necessity to distinguish the true church. Hence the words Pentecostal and Missionary and 4th Watch. Pentecostal means having the attributes of the early church. Missionary is the modern English word for sent one. 4th Watch is the last watch in the parable of Christ in Mark 13:35, which is the end time, or our present time.
spacer Cult Member
table section spacer table section
spacer

The problem with this cult member's reasoning, is that the notion of the 4th Watch which the name of the church is modeled after, is not what the 4th watch in Mark 13:35 is referring to. In fact, let's look at that verse. The 4th Watcher debating us might have left it out so that we wouldn't notice his mistake.

table section spacer table section
spacer Mark 13:35
Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back-whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
spacer
table section spacer table section

The 4th Watch as the name for the end time is an unbiblical concept. The fourth watch is the last division of the day, used when soldiers would take turns being on guard. In this verse, Jesus is simply saying to keep watch for the end time, that it could come at any of the four divisions of the day. No where does it state in the Bible that the 4th watch is a distinct period of time other than the last division of a day, and no where does it say that the end time is called the 4th Watch. This is an invention of Arsenio Ferriol, and he is obviously using the 4th Watch as a way to name the end times by using the watches in the Bible. And he's trying to be clever, which is cool, but the watches in the Bible are not periods of time in the way that Arsenio is trying to use them as.

What this means is that the PMCC 4th Watch church has a non-biblical aspect. Now, here's where the cult member really reveals his cultic influence. He told us that he could prove to us that his church is the true church because their teachings are all according to the Bible, and that one of the qualifications of being a true church is that you have to have a name that is according to the Bible. But he couldn't find any verses in the Bible to prove this. When we pointed this out to him, this is what he told us:

table section spacer table section spacer
spacer Acts 1:7
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Times and seasons is a mystery to the early apostles. The mystery of times and seasons (also called watches in the Bible) was revealed to Apostle Arsenio Ferriol. That is the reason why even you cannot understand the Fourth Watch. Mysteries are revealed only to the church.
spacer Cult Member
table section spacer table section

That's right. We cannot understand how the 4th Watch is Biblical because we are not members of the true church. It's a mystery whose answers were only revealed to Arsenio Ferriol, and in order to understand them, we must be members in his church. In other words, his very own church violates one of his qualifications of being a true church, by having an unbiblical name and using an unbiblical concept, but he can't admit it, so he makes up an excuse so that he can cop out. He cannot prove his position in the way that he said he could, but instead relied on his cultic behavior to get himself out of the trouble that he had placed himself into. So because he can't find a verse to Biblically support the notion of the 4th Watch, he's just going to cop out and tell us that this was something revealed to his cult leader and that only members of his cult can understand. We were expecting bad logic in this debate, but we were also hoping for a response like this because it shows that his church truly is a cult!

Whenever someone resorts to this type of behavior, it is a red flag that the person you are talking to does not in fact know what they are talking about, and that there is a good chance that you are face to face with a cult member...And where there is one cult member, there will be more cult members, so be on guard when you come to the realization that you are facing a cult. They will use behavior like this in every part of their lives, and they will try to ruin yours, because the truth is, when an organization states that there are "mysteries" and secrets whose answers are revealed only when joining the church, they are only using lies and deception to lure you into a trap.

All of this is especially true when the leader of such an organization claims that these answers were revealed only to them. Such leaders often make the bogus claim that they are an angel, or the second coming of Jesus, or in this person's case...an apostle. Such leaders say things like this in order to lure you in, trap you, and program you, usually to obtain something from you, whether it's money, glory, or power...and they make up excuses like this when they cannot explain something any other way. Of course the 4th Watch religion goes against the Bible in many ways, and when the leader of the cult cannot explain them in the Bible, he resorts to telling everybody that because he is an apostle sent by God, that God himself has revealed to him the truth, and so it is then okay to bypass the Bible, which you admit you are doing here. And when this leader then makes promises to you which offer something like an eternity in Heaven if you join his church, and makes the claim that you will be damned to Hell if you don't, then it cannot be denied that you are being petitioned by a cult. They can make all the promises and excuses they want to, but they are never able to backup or verify these bogus and cultic claims. We can just as easily come out and claim that one of us is an angel, and tell everyone that we know the answers to mysteries, and that we will tell you what they are if you join our church and pay us 10% of your income every week. But like their apostle in their cult, we would not be able to backup our claims.

We understand that there are scenarios when somebody can't understand something unless they meet a requirement that allows them to understand it, but these are not the same as the cultic scenario that we are talking about now.

For instance, we know that if an underground cave was discovered, it would be a great mystery as to what lied within it, and the only way you could get the answers to any mysteries associated with the cave, is to go in there. Also, if someone was to start talking to some of us about quantum mechanics, we would probably get lost and not understand them because we are not a part of the scientific community that is educated in that field of science. But there are two differences with this church in this example of the church's name.

First of all, regarding their church, a leader of an organization has made a huge outstanding claim that he cannot back up and promises he cannot fulfill. He cannot verify that he is a true apostle. He cannot show that God even exists at all or that the Bible is even true to begin with. He has never been tested, and the reason why is because he's a CULT LEADER.

And two, this 4th Watcher that we were debating said that he was going to prove to us Biblically that his church has a true name and teaches true Biblical teachings. Well, he failed to do that, because he can't do that. But it all comes down to this, if they can truly prove to us Biblically that what they say is true, then it should not matter what mysteries were revealed to their cult leader.

Now, another related practice of the 4th Watch is to use logical fallacies to trick others into believing the complete nonsense that they want them to. Logical fallacies were touched up on in the teaching piece, but basically, a logical fallacy is a failure of logic, that can often trick someone into believing something, even though logically, it is not true.

Here are two examples:

Ask a 4th Watcher how they know that God is real, and they will tell you because the Bible says that he is. But when you ask them how they know that the Bible is true, they'll say because it is the word of God. This is a failure in logic. The failure is that they believe that God is real because the Bible says that he is, but believe the Bible to be true based on God, the very thing that they are using the Bible to confirm its truth.

Here is another one:

The 4th Watcher will tell you that even if you can't reason that Arsenio Ferriol is truly the apostle of God, a person should wager as though he is, because living life accordingly has everything to gain, and nothing to lose.

This notion states that if Arsenio Ferriol is the true apostle, believing in him will allow you to go to Heaven, but not believing in him will cause you to go to Hell. If he is not the true apostle, then believing in him will bring about nothing. So because of this, it is better to just believe that Arsenio Ferriol is the true apostle, because if you believe, either you will go to Heaven, or nothing will happen to you at all. But if you don't believe, then while there is a chance that nothing will happen to you, you could also go to Hell, and in any case, you will not be allowed into Heaven. Therefore, it is better just to believe that he is the true apostle.

This is also a failure of logic. The failure comes in two forms. One, the person telling you this is incorrectly assuming that there are only two possibilities; that Arsenio's religion is true, or that there are no true religions. What would a 4th Watcher say if someone from another cult with another cult leader used the same wager on them? And two, seeing what Arsenio's religion wants you to become, you do have a lot to lose. In any case, it's a bad wager because your life on Earth will be wasted as a 4th Watcher, and given the extreme improbability that Arsenio is the true apostle, it is not a good choice to believe in him.
