Section 5: The Word and Surer Word Magazines

The PMCC 4th Watch cult publishes and sells a bi-monthly magazine called "The Word", that helps to spread their cultic brainwashing, while making a profit at the same time. Basically, the magazine is like a 4th Watch sermon in print, providing members with information on their religion and the Bible as interpreted by their religion. In other words, it's just an effective way to brainwash more persons and to make more money.

The 4th Watch has a website dedicated to their Word magazine, and this is what that website says about the Word:

	THE WORD MAGAZINE is the official publication of the Pentecostal Missionary CHURCH of CHRIST (4th Watch) and is published bi-monthly. This publication is spiritually profitable as a Christian instruction/reference material in churches and for individual Christian. "Evangelizing the Lost. Edifying the Saints." is the official motto of The Word Magazine. This statement captures the very essence of our Lord Jesus Christ's Great Commission which He commanded for His body, the Church, to accomplish until He comes back.

And the official 4th Watch website says this about their "Word" magazine:

	The Word Magazine is the official publication of the PMCC (4th Watch) Church. It contains different columns written by senior pastors, articles dealing with spiritual matters, latest news updates regarding the different local and foreign churches and testimonies of lives transformed and blessed through the gospel. "Evangelizing the Lost. Edifying the Saints." is the official motto of The Word Magazine. The Word is released bi-monthly and available through subscription or by retail.

Cult watch groups sometimes criticize the 4th Watch's Word magazine, as these groups feel that the 4th Watch uses the Word as an extension of the Bible, like seperate testaments if you will, and that they teach that studying the Word magazine is like studying the Bible itself. As these groups feel teaching anything outside the Bible is cultic, this is an activity that such groups point out that makes the 4th Watch a cult. Of course, we don't agree that non-Biblical teachings are cultic, but the other way around. In any case, we're not sure that we agree anyways, that the 4th Watch treats their magazine in this way. After all, when pastors perform their sermon in church, they're interpretting scripture in a way to make their congregation understand it. We don't see much of a difference between this and putting it in print.

Of course, none of that really matters to us. Biblical teaching is immoral to begin with. The Word is a small part of the 4th Watch cult's ministry, but worth mentioning in this project, as it is to be the ultimate source of 4th Watch knowledge.

Adding to that knowledge...The cult has another magazine called "The Surer Word". Perhaps the first magazine was not sure enough, but this newer and seperate magazine apparently is the version of the Word magazine distributed in North America. The 4th Watch cult also has video shows which are presented on the internet which also go by this Surer Word name, based on the magazine.

The official 4th Watch website says this about the Surer Word:

	A Christian can't have too much of God's Word; in fact, Christ said that we can't thrive only on food, but "on every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). The Surer Word Magazine contains hearty and true-to-life messages that are easy to understand. As part of the package, it includes pastors' articles, news, and district-wide updates. Surer Word Magazine has the biblically sound and unadulterated words of God needed to empower you and reach out for others who want to know Christ. The SURER WORD MAGAZINE is the official publication of the Pentecostal Missionary CHURCH of CHRIST (4th Watch) North America District and is published quarterly. The Surer Word Magazine is an evangelistic arm of the PMCC (4th Watch) and is spiritually profitable as a Christian instructional or reference material in churches and for individual Christians. Reproduction in whole or in part by any means without expressed written permission from the publisher is prohibited. Scripture quotations in this magazine are taken from the New International Version except those noted otherwise.

Section 6: Maranatha Christian Academy

There is a school that was established by and is maintained by the PMCC 4th Watch, known as "National Christian Life College". Formerly, it was called the "Maranatha Christian Academy", and students still refer to it by this and apparently more popular name. It is located in the Philippines, and there is now an expansion in the United States. The school was actually initiated by Leticia Ferriol, wife of cult leader Arsenio Ferriol of the PMCC 4th Watch.

The Maranatha Christian Academy, or National Christian Life College, is disguised as a legitimate school, but is actually an extension of the PMCC 4th Watch cult, and is no doubt another opportunity to program and victimize young minds. Not only does the cult leaders of this so-called school get rich off of the money that these students pay them for tuition, but they also get rich off of their tithes and donations made to the church after programing them to be followers.

Students are subjected to pseudoscientific teachings, they are graded on their faith in God, they are bullied by both teachers and other students if they don't believe in God, and are subjected to the many cultic teachings that the 4th Watch already provides, including the psychological programming that comes with it. The National Christian Life College or Maranatha Christian Academy might as well just be known as the PMCC 4th Watch cult school.

Previously, we had little information on this extension of the 4th Watch, but we wanted to learn more about it, and we actually talked to some of the students who attend there, or who once did. What they had to say and what they showed us wasn't very surprising.

Here's a picture of a text book used at the PMCC 4th Watch school:

Did you notice the "emphasis on Christian living" part? And that's right; this book clearly states that the school is "more than an educational institution"; that it is a "ministry".

Says one student:

"I hate our school (Maranatha Christian Academy). I'll beg my parents to never enroll me in that school anymore. Ever since they discovered my atheism, my top ranked down without my grades getting low. And all the awardees and the top 10 students are those who are attending their cult services regularly, although not all of them are baptized by them."

And this is interesting:

"I also discovered about their special treatments to those 'school-service drivers' who belong to their cult. Actually, somebody told me about this. He's one of the 'school-service drivers' who doesn't belong to their cult. Our school, which is the MCA, has two parking lots for school service. One has a roof, and the other one, which is in the field hasn't. My school service driver and his friends told me that they are not allowed to park the school van inside the roofed area, while those who belong to their cult are allowed to. They were so unfair to those who don't belong to their cult."

And it continues:

"I also think that they got people to join them by targeting them at their weak points. Like, when I was depressed because of a family problem, caused by them telling my mom about my atheism, they talked to me and let me watch videos about how poor and pitiful I am, and how loving their god is. I'm crying that time; I'm just listening to every word they say. Until I was already thinking "..oh god ..sorry. ..sorry.." until I heard the words, "wag mo na isipin ang mga bagay na iyan hindi iyan makakatulong sayo" (tr. "quit thinking about those things, that won't benefit you") ..those words really shocked me that I came back to my proper way of thinking again, that I whispered to myself .."Am I under hypnosis?".. I really tried to focus that time, and we ended our conversation with them saying "basta tanggalin mo na lamang iyan sa isip mo, making ka samin, tama kami, isipin mo nalang ang diyos" (tr. "just remove that out of your mind, listen to us, we're right, just put God in your mind.".

We don't know how unique the PMCC 4th Watch school is compared to other religion-controlled schools, but it is clear that it's really just an extension of the 4th Watch cult, with little educational value, and where more young minds are put through psychological programming everyday in order to make the cult leaders of this religion rich.

	The National Christian Life College (NCLC), formerly the Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA), is a private, non-stock, non-sectarian Christian school, with its main campus in Marikina City. It was established in February 1980 by Dr. Leticia S. Ferriol, who is the directress of the school. It is part of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) headed by Arsenio Ferriol. Several branches had been established in the Philippines and even abroad, with the biggest campus being in Malagasang, Imus, Cavite.

As more information comes in about this cultic expansion, we will post it here.

Section 7: Conclusion on the PMCC 4th Watch Cult

In conclusion, the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) is a highly unusual and potentially dangerous religious organization. It is a hate group and cult. It is our sincere hope to all that have read this paper that you have learned significantly about this organization, and we hope that your new knowledge will be sufficient in helping you to make better decisions regarding this particular cult, cults in general, and religion in general as well.

In this paper, we have explained the most significant aspects of the 4th Watch doctrine, practices, membership, and miscellaneous features. We have provided information that should be sufficient enough to explain as to why this organization is a cult and why it should be avoided. We have provided all of you with our own personal experiences, as well as information from additional research and investigation. We have also provided our personal beliefs and opinions to let you know how we all have been effected by and feel about the cult.

We have also tried to provide you with additional information to help you if you had ever been victimized by the 4th Watch cult, or have been effected by any cult, and what you can do to help yourself as well as others who are currently trapped in a cult now. We also hope that many of you get involved to help stop cultic activity from spreading. Additionally, we hope that anyone who has read this paper will consider atheism and Humanism as better alternatives to the hateful Abrahamic religions such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

If you are currently in the 4th Watch cult, we advise you to get out now. While it is true that the main producers of this project are Humanist atheists, we cannot stress enough that if you wish to believe in a god, be it the Christian god or anyone else, practice your religion with discipline and no matter what, do not harm others or force your beliefs onto anyone else, and practice your religion on a personal level or within a legitimate church, and not a cult like the 4th Watch. As we have explained, identifying the difference between a mainstream religion and a cult can be difficult at first, but we hope that this project will help you to make good decisions about choosing a church. Again, while most of us involved in this project do not believe in such religions, believe us when we tell you that we would much rather have you be a part of a legitimate and mainstream church than any cult and hate group like the 4th Watch.

But whatever decision you make, remember that the most important aspect of yourself is to be moral, peaceful, and loving to others and yourself. Not every mainstream religion is good, and not every cult is completely void of goodness. Whatever the case might be, do not accept immorality, violence, and hatred into your belief systems. You don't need to hate homosexuals, you don't need to repress women, you don't need to abuse animals, and you don't need to hate others for not believing what you do.

While it all started with a poem and resulted in an answer to a challenge, it was the goal to create this project well after the head producer left the 4th Watch cult. The challenger asked us for one example as to why the 4th Watch is a cult, we gave one-hundred. Over all, we are quite happy with how the project turned out. We would like to thank everyone involved, especially ex-members and victims.

Our ultimate goal is to discredit the 4th Watch as much as possible by exposing the truth to both members and non -members. Our hope is that one day the church will be no more, and many souls will have been saved. In some ways, we have already won in this movement. After all, referring to the 4th Watch, we personally beat you, by saving ourselves from you people. You couldn't hold onto us and you couldn't keep us. We resisted your programming, as well as the lies and false teachings. We don't believe in your false prophet. You will no longer get money from us. We will no longer believe you when you tell us that we can't go to Heaven unless we pay you. We might not be able to save everyone from your evil, but always remember that we saved ourselves. Not only did we save ourselves, but you won't be praying on our children either, nor their children. And even if only one person who reads about youe cult in this project decides to stay away from your cult, that is one soul saved because of us, as well as their children, and their children.

Make no mistake. The 4th Watch has stated on their website that they are a "force to reckon with", and they are right. Any time you have one man who can convince thousands of persons that he is the sole authority on the word of God, and turn otherwise normal persons into those who accept that the murder of innocent children is considered loving and that forgiveness cannot be given without death, is definitely a powerful force indeed and one that needs to be taken seriously. The 4th Watch cult has infected the public with a disease worse than most realize. They are redefining the paths in the lives of children that will lead them to unfulfillment. They have even penetrated the government in the Philippines and have taken part in the enslavement of that beautiful country. While they are extremely small for a religion, they are big for a cult, and they are growing. And it is because of all of these reasons that the PMCC 4th Watch cult needs to be stopped.

We will close this piece by reminding everyone that the church of the 4th Watch might seem like a perfectly legitimate and loving place, but they have no interest in your well being. Their main mission is to acquire money for their beloved leader. Whether you are looking for God or happiness, you will not find any of those in the 4th Watch.

Section 8: PMCC 4th Watch Locations

The 4th Watch is one of the larger cults that exist in today's world. While they are still small in size, they are large for a cult and do not have only one church in one location, but several churches located in various parts of the world, including Asia, Europe, North America, and even the Middle East, though they are most highly concentrated in the Philippines, as they originated in that country. However, keep in mind that while they are large for a cult, the number of their churches might give the impression that they're larger than they actually are. The 4th Watch has a few hundred different locations which they consider to be their churches, but most of these churches are not the traditional buildings that you are more likely accustomed to seeing. Most of them are small buildings, and many of them were not even built with the purpose of using them for a church. And in many cases, their churches are nothing more than rented rooms or the living rooms of members. Additionally, most of these churches have very few members, sometimes consisting of not even more than ten persons.

Below is a list of all known churches of the PMCC 4th Watch cult. Check to see if there is one near you. If there is, educate yourself on how to protect your community.

Part 3: Watchers of the 4th Watch

Now that you've learned all we've had to tell about the 4th Watch cult, let's now learn some more about us, the Watchers of the 4th Watch.

Chapter 1: About Us

We are known as the "Watchers of the 4th Watch". We are the ones responsible for the "4th Watch Truth Project". Our group is made of victims, ex-members, and concerned citizens of the PMCC 4th Watch cult, and such persons and experts of cults and religion in general.

We made the PMCC 4th Watch Truth Project to expose the truth about the PMCC 4th Watch cult, and established it to inform and warn the public about its highly unusual and potentially dangerous beliefs, practices, and members. As Watchers of the 4th Watch, this project will help us keep an eye on the 4th Watch and it will make it easier for others to do the same.

Even if you are not interested in the 4th Watch, this project might still help you concerning religion and cults. But with so much information about cults and religion, why does this project focus on the PMCC 4th Watch? There is no doubt that there are other religions just as bad, and there are religions that are far worse. So if we want to attack a religion, why not one of those and why the 4th Watch?

We have chosen the 4th Watch because it is very personal, and not simply a humanitarian project. Members of this project include ex-members and victims, so naturally, we have a passion against the 4th Watch. And because most of us were members, we already know so much about the cult and are qualified to educate others about it.

Also, understand that a group such as ours can only do so much. We have limited resources and powers. When a party wants to start a fight with another party, it is wise to be qualified to deal with that party. In other words, you have to be powerful enough to take on the fight. But the truth is, some parties are just more appropriately dealt with by certain other parties.

For example, we would love to go after the most horrible of all religious peoples, such as the Taliban or Al Qaeda. But organizations like those are way out of our league. Again, we don't have the resources or powers to engage in such a fight. Such a fight is best left up to our militaries. It is more appropriate for the military to fight a militant enemy, because the military has a real chance of winning and it is safer for the rest of civilization. Likewise, it wouldn't be wise for the military to go after a party like the 4th Watch, as it is best left to a small non-militant group like ours. This is because the military would be wasting their resources and powers when they are so badly needed for the more dangerous enemies. A party like the 4th Watch, we can handle.

Another thing to keep in mind is, while most prominent members involved with this project are for the most part against all Abrahamic religions, cultic or not, not every member is. Although the project is mainly headed by one person, it is still a group project, and the PMCC 4th Watch is something that all of us members have in common.

We will continue to work on the Truth Project as long as we need to. It is our hope that the 4th Watch will change its ways to reflect a more positive image, perhaps even lose its status of being a cult, and even one day, cease to exist. But until that happens, we will always have the Truth Project. And if you want to help us, you can! If you were a victim, you can send us a testimony about your experience.
