spacer Subject: This is AMAZING!!!

I just wanted to say, that I love this website. It's well put together, and I'm glad I'm not religious! I also think that religion causes more pain than healing, and that premarital sex is the best sex! :D I also support same-sex marriage...love is love and the stupid church needs to get over it. They are waaaay overrated anyway. Thanks for totally getting me, I really truly appreciate this!

Freethinker spacer Thank you for this wonderful piece of love mail. We worked very hard on this project, and we're so happy that you like it, and got some use out of it. We're definitely glad that you're not religious either, particularly religious regarding cults like the PMCC 4th Watch. Indeed, religion is one of the greatest causes of planetary suffering, and it needs to be eliminated. As for sex, we should enjoy it the way that we want to, be it with many partners before marriage, or only within a committed relationship. We should do whatever makes us happy as long as we don't hurt others. And yes, we should all stand behind our friends and neighbors who want love and marriage equality, and so we're glad to know that you support it. Thanks again!

spacer Subject: My Journey

for all my years 4th watch had show me great but mostly bad things .. ive been a singer on the main Malagasang Locale ... they included me always in every event but recently i experienced so much that i stopped going .

My Dad died in hongkong they help me go there and find him unfortunately i wasn't able to find anything .they said it was free

my brother is currently highschool in maranatha (4th watch school) next 3 months they told us that my bro is not going to take the a 4th quarter exam because of one thing

we havent paid my expenses for the trip.. they told me it was free but i WASNT and they dont treat my mom with respect it was for my bro's future but they dont care they want OUR money considering my mom is a 4th watcher ..

then comes my hair color. i dyed my hair light brown people saay it was good for me but..

they tolf me you must wear black hair because young 4th watchers look up to you.. it was my freedom of expression and they dont care how i feel they banned me from singing and they basically threw me off the boat.

i came out that i am Bisexual this year ... they told me that i cant go there anymore and ms.LILY FERRIOL WILL TALK TO ME .. WTF? what did i do??

they reversed the whole thing and told lies about me they didnt accept me for who i am for all the sacrifices i made for the church.. when i went out of it my life is a thousand times better

i still believe in GOD though im a christian not a 4th watcher... made me feel stupid made me work for nothing and always told me your going to hell or God will punish you something like that...

Now i am ok i can stand on my own ... i love singing but i wont use it for 4th watch ill use it for GOD

BTW did i mention my diploma wasn't given to me yet? because we havent paid them... WTF

Freethinker spacer Thank you so much for the email. We really appreciate the fact that you took the time to write a well thought-out letter, and share your testimony with us and our readers. It means a lot.

What you have described sounds like typical 4th Watch behavior. They are a cult, and a business to the leaders, who only care about making money. But we find your experience to be rather special, since what you are describing is personal condemnation, and that is not acceptable at all.

It is very sad to read how they treated you. Many persons dye their hair as a form of personal expression and/or taste, and we promote such use of freedom. We're positive that you looked very nice with your new hair color, but regardless, for anyone to try to take that away from you out of some outrageous notion that it's not proper, is ridiculous and pathetic. Be who you are. Dye your hair light brown if you want to. Dye your hair purple if you want to. There is no shame in having different colored hair. Of course, you probably already know this, but we want you to know that we support you.

Now for an even bigger topic...as you have found out, the 4th Watchers are total bigots. They hate homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, etc. You didn't do anything wrong. In fact, you're doing everything right. You revealed to the world your true sexual orientation. You told persons who you felt were your family. You're choosing to love who you really love. These are all of the right things. They are the ones who are in the wrong.

You are a bisexual; that's what you are. You didn't want to hide, and so you revealed to the world your sexual orientation. The 4th Watch tries its best to give the illusion that they're you're family, and so you probably felt safe with telling them, but they are not your family. You want to love others in your own way, and that's exactly what you are going to do.

We applaud you for your bravery and expression. Know that while the PMCC 4th Watch doesn't accept you for who you are, we here at the Watchers of the 4th Watch do, and we support you in your quest to find love, no matter what sex you are attracted to. There's nothing wrong with homosexuality! Nothing at all. Don't you let anybody ever tell you that homosexuality, bisexuality, or anything like that is wrong.

We understand about your sacrifices. Many of us made several sacrifices for the church as well, believing that they were our family and a force for good. You should take it as a life lesson, and move on. There are many persons and organizations out there that try to trick us and deceive us, and we learn by making mistakes. Now that you had a bad experience with this particular cult, perhaps you will be wiser the next time you encounter a similar people.

We understand that you are still a believer in God, and that's okay. Most of us are now atheists. Some of us became atheists after having bad experiences with the 4th Watch. Still, some of us are still Christians, but not 4th Watchers. It's difficult for some of us to imagine how anyone could believe in God, but we are not here to judge anyone like that. Our main mission is to educate and save persons from the 4th Watch.

We're very happy to know that you're doing okay now, and are no longer a part of the 4th Watch cult. Use your singing for good, and not to help evil forces like the 4th Watch.

Again, love yourself. There's nothing wrong with bisexuality or coloring your hair. We support you in these things. Thank you again for sharing your testimony.

They are so judgemental, they insult every Christian denomination, even atheist. They ask money, they said if you dont give your tithe you will not get blessing. what is this? you can buy blessings? you gave a million bucks you will get a bath tub of blessings? What a coincidence. I have once insulted their churcc and now I got scolded. They have almost brainwashed my classmate. Even the holy mother of God, Mary, they insulted her.

Freethinker spacer Thank you for your email. Indeed, the 4th Watch is a very judgmental organization and business. They are there to make money. Their idea is that the more money you give, the more blessings you'll receive. We know this because most of us were members too. We were promised that good things will happen to us as long as we tithe, and that as members, it was something that we had to do. We're glad that you understand the truth about the 4th Watch.

spacer Subject: Thanks

I just want to congratulate you for coming up with such a useful project. It's very timely especially when more people get lured into the cult through manipulative exploitative techniques of the clever leaders of the church/cult.

I think you're doing a great job in educating people not to fall into the manipulative ways of the church but instead exercise their ability to think and question things.

I can understand how people will need comfort in times of difficulties, problems, family or relationship breakdowns, poverty, and other situations. What I find appalling and indeed deserving of criticisms is the church who prey on people's vulnerability. This is unfair and if there's a law against it, the penalty should be death or lifetime imprisonment.

Keep up the good work. People need to understand that they can stand with their own two feet with the help of their loved ones; and should not let cult leaders make them dependent on a god, be exploited, cannot exercise logical thinking and feeling inadequate as people.

All the best to you!

spacer Subject: False Practices

I have been a 14 years member of this organization. 12 years of those, I am a deacon. I have been brainwashed and condition to follow blindly eventhough it was very hard and heavy burden in heart. I thank God when I went to the USA, I have been lead to a better service and truth.

These are the things I have notice for the 12 years of my services;

1. They twist the meaning of the verse. (mind you the only qoute a verse without telling you the backdrop and context of it) They use it to benifit them.

2. They limit the freedom of asking and questioning for clarity,(they say that you have a bad spirit if you start questioning)

3. At first they wont allow any members to run for any political position but hence the "Son" (Samuel Ferriol) is in holding a polital position)Henceforth they change their policy to benifit them.

4. Everytime there's a convetion gathering, Arsenio always testify how the property of the church is growing by acquiring land, constructions equipments, building, and buying businesses. (hence most cult leader are business background)

5. If a member miss giving his/her tithe, they come to your house (unannounced) and they tell you how you are stealing from God for not giving.

6. They use the Pastor position to instill guilt and pressure you to give and to pledge..particulary the director of USA PMCC 4th watch(ptr. Jonatha Ferriol)

7. Pastors and particulary members of the ferriol family is exempt on the ordinance of the church.

8. They allow live-in situation as long as the member is giving money and being use to cosign to acquire businissess and property.

9. They use scare tactics ie.. if you leave the church, bad things will happen to you...

10. They also smuggled pastor and members to USA and using false look alike passport.

11. According to the church auditor, she is scared because USA has audited them and found them in violation..

QUESTIONS TO ASK 4TH WATCHERS;

1. What qualifies an Apostle? Remeber theres no loophole in the bible.. All Apostle that are called are confirmed my the Apostle and by the spirit of God thru the members.

2. Proof of an Apostle? Where, When these marks?

2 Corinthians 12:12

I persevered in demonstrating among you the marks of a true apostle, including signs, wonders and miracles.

spacer Subject: The 4th watch is a big con

In Jeddah Saudi Arabia, I have attended 4th watch prayer meetings 3 times and oh boy 3 times was enough for me in witnessing their manipulation and brainwashing. They all possess the basic rules in manipulation. If you are weak in mind and will, you will sure be a victim.

1st step - The invitation. When you agree to attend their prayer meeting, you will be chauferred. Someone actually comes to pick you up by car and bring you back home too.

2nd step - Warmth. They are sure nice and of course they are. They want you in their group. You will feel important and as if you have found the group to belong to.

3rd step - The food. They have excellent cooks. The choice of food is great and always the kind of dish that makes you feel at home. This is because they want you at home -- their home.

4th stage - The prayers. All is normally charismatic. So far, so good in the beginning. Until they come to a stage where they speak against other religions. The pope, mohammed, etc.. Any religion out there to them is a fake. They claim only they can be saved because theirs is the true religion and they speak this in absolute certainty. They have the apostle Arsenio Feriol which causes them to be the true religion. Arsenio Feriols by the way became an apostle when he had a dream that revealed to him he is an apostle appointed by Christ. This is a very convenient revelation. No one saw, no one heard, there is absolutely no proof. By the way, you have to have faith that this is true and if you didn't have faith, you are the devil.

5th stage - The end of days. These people will frighten the soul out of you. They will brainwash you that the end of days is coming. No one can be saved except for members of the 4th watch which was founded and under the leadership of Arsenio Feriols. To be saved you have to be one of them and your family too. They claim they have the keys to the heavens. You see this is all so that you can find it in your logic that you need them. The weak in reason, intelligence, and logic usually succumb.

6th stage - The holy spirit (daw). When they reach the point of praying to the holy spirit, for no reason they cry. Afterwards, I asked what happened back there? They said that was the holy spirit who came upon them during prayers. I didn't feel any. In fact, it was quite unpleasant when for no reason they started sobbing, then crying, and even men at stage had tears in their eyes falling.

7th Stage - Tithing. Correct if wrongly spelled but to them your faith is tested by your generosity to commit to the tithings. This is the act of giving 10% of your income to the church which is sent to the account of Arsenio Ferriols. Mind you, this is all 60,000 of its members worldwide. Arsenio the thief hit a fortune when he figured OFWs are a better target than the one in the local churches in the Philippines. During the prayers, there is like 30 minutes minimum in stressing that you need to give to the church and that you need to fix 10% of your income to the church. No one knows how Arsenio Ferriols uses his money but everyone is obliged to give. This portion of prayers is very firm and I have never seen other churches do this. They are close to pointing a knife at you to empty your purse and sign blank checks to the 4th watch.

8th stage - The act of conning. During the prayers, your name will be announced a number of times. That you are welcome, they love you, God bless you, etc... At its climax, you will be called up to the stage. Amidst eveyone's cheering, praises, you being at the center of the stage have your moment and the minister up front will ask.... "I will baptize you and do you accept Christ in your life in 4th watch?". This is how you become a member. Is it easy to say no at this point? Well, I resisted and I said no. The other 3 of those with me were taken to the toilet and baptized by water. They promised to attend the 4th watch meetings, support the group, bring the rest of their family to the religion, and of course.... the most important .... 10% of their income in the name of God at Arsenio Ferriols pockets.

Arsenio Feriol, one day life will come back at you with justice you piece of S_ _ T !!!

Freethinker spacer Hello Christopher. Thank you so much for contacting us here at the PMCC 4th Watch Truth Project. This project is here to inform everyone about the cult that is the PMCC 4th Watch, and your email helps to support our message. In fact, your email was very informative, and all of us, being former 4th Watchers, have experienced and witnessed much of what you addressed in your mail. The more mail we receive from others like you, the more we know that we are doing the right thing by exposing the cult. We like how you organized their cultic ways into stages. That is how many of us felt when attending the church. We have never heard anybody from Saudi Arabia, so it was nice to hear a perspective from someone from that country. We have wondered how differently the cult might act in different countries. Anyways, we want to congratulate you on resisting them. We hope you have found a better church to attend. Viewing your mail, we can see that you're obviously very upset with the 4th Watch and its founder Arsenio Ferriol. We like to call him "Arsehole Ferriol". We hope that by giving us your testimony, you have released some of the pain and frustration they might have caused you. For several of us, our project has been a form of therapy, so it is our hope that we can help others who have been victimized by the 4th Watch cult to be helped from it too. spacer Subject: Cult

I'm all hands up, gotta say this site is very informative of the scam of this religious cult. You have no idea how much i love to have this kind of comprehensive site that exposes ang dating daan or mCoGi as a dangerous cult which I believe is more dangerous than PMCC 4th watch. Well, Ferriol doesn't have a mansion according to there members but Eliseo Soriano have a 2.5 million dollars mansion in Brazil. He earns a lot of money from his members through concert tickets(him as the singer) worth 500 pesos to as much as 10,000 pesos. He organized events to shang-rila hotels which the entrance costs is 10,000 pesos each member then sell his relics at the event, the belt have was sold at 12,000 the turtle neck sweater at whooping 130,000 pesos. Well that's just the tip of the iceberg.

But they have similar approach to mind control and programming. Anyway great site and you have done humanity a great service.

Freethinker spacer Thank you so much for your supportive mail and compliments. Yes, we agree that while the PMCC 4th Watch is bad, we're sure there are several cults that are much worse. We would love to do a project for every cult there is, but the 4th Watch is the one in which we have experience with, and thus most passionate about. They are the ones who victimized us. But, we've been thinking about setting up an area in this site where others can share stories and knowledge about the other cults. Hopefully, other victims from these cults will do what we did, and try to educate others, and try to prevent them from joining any of them. Thanks again.

spacer Subject: My Testimony

I'm and ex 4th watcher, I was true believer at one stage preaching in public, leading the youth group and all that. Until I attended the 21st "International" convention, I must admit at first, it was great meeting new people from other countries, after a few days I noticed some strange things. When I was their I witnessed cruelty towards the construction workers building the ATF complex, they are not paid, they slept on the floor, on card board sheets as beds, when I would walk past the area they were in their was horrible smells. I asked a 4th Watch Pastor about it, and they told me, Oh they work for God, and are willing too, so they are brainwashed to believe their hard work will be rewarded in Heaven.

Now that was one thing that gave me a suspicion, next day I was reading the Bible, and another friend of mine who also had suspicions, had a KJV, and we also noticed that while singing praise and worship songs, they would constantly remove the word, Trinity, and Godhead, or anything to do with that teaching. My friend, then quickly noticed and asked a Pastor, Why does 4th Watch erase the words Godhead, and Trinity from the worship songs?.. and the Pastor replied "In the 4th Watch we believe that the Father is God, and the Son is God, seperate beings, but together in unity, ONE! PLURAL!, but the Holy Spirit is power we have inside us that God gave us to encourage us to have the faith, and do His will".. And then I stated to the Pastor.. "Well that must mean we believe in two Gods, if the Father and Son are seperate beings?.." and he replied "Well the word Trinity, dosnt exist in the Bible, so if its not in the bible it isnt true right?" so after that, my friend and I went for a walk, and he stopped, and said the Trinity is written in the bible but under the name Godhead!" and he quickly flicked through the bible and pointed in Romans 1:20, that states the name "Godhead" then he said to me "Godhead is another word for trinity, so if they dont teach the Trinity then its not the true church".

I mentioned it to other members, the only response I would get is ignorance, with a smile, some said Im loosing my faith, and some had an open mind. Then I got a call from my girlfriend, who asked if I wanted to attend her church called Hislife City Church, and I accepted. The night before the convention finished.. My Pastor walked over to me, and stated these exact words "You must not attend your girlfriends church, you must not" and I asked why?.. and she replied "Because they are not Gods true Church, they will brainwash you into believing false teachings, only believe the Apostle, because he is sent by God, and he speaks truth. So dont let your girlfriend's friend's teach you false beliefs and teachings".

I laughed at her and said, for a pastor you shouldnt be judging those who work with you in serving God.. by the way she didnt feel very holy in my opinion.. I always got an nevrous feel about her, and she looked more crazy.

I also remember while at convention, Mr. Ferriol would sit on a gold throne with his wife, His bishops who I think a couple of them are his brothers, also site on smaller gold thrones beside him, and even his son! Jonothan Ferriol, sits on one of these Thrones. While the followers sit on hard wooden seats, and on concrete slabs in the stands.

On the last day of the convention there was a ceremony, and we were gathered on to many buses to drive us to Luneta Park, from their we had to walk in the heat to the stadium, wait for about an hour, for Mr. Ferriol to enter, and enter he did, inside a whit luxury Lexus SUV, with himself dressed in his white suit, and his wife also dressed in white. When that happened two Pastors from another church, saw this and shook their heads in disbelief, when Mr. Ferriol walked on stage a huge roar from the followers irrupted. He is kind of a Rock Star. Also at the Convention we slept on nice suites but hard beds, we got up early for practise one morning, and we were standing out the back of the ATF arena, and I believe I saw the bishops arriving, in luxury SVU's with security guards by their side, I didnt see Mr. Ferriol, but I wouldnt be surprised if he was staying in a luxury suite, specially made for him, because while I was attending seminars, learning on how to debate the opposition and win. Mr. Ferriol, would be looking up at the crowd with binoculars, when he would get up, he would have doors opened for him always.

I was also told through out my time at 4th Watch, to gain salvation, First you must attend the 4th Watch church, you need to believe in their teachings, then you need to be baptized, after admitting you believe and are a member of 4th Watch, then you need to attend church, be active in the church with church activities such as preaching publicly, attend Church events, and then lastly attend the bible school.

My new pastor at His Life Church, said that this teaching of Salvation is utterly untrue, because the Bibles teaching on Salvation is alot different.

Recently I shown Biblical truth that their teachings are false to my old pastor, the reply I got in return was, "You have no faith in God." that was it.

And to this day, ever since I left 4th Watch, the friends who I had, are no longer my friends anymore, because they are told to have friends who are follow 4th Watchers because they make better friendships.

Thank you for your time. I believe you guys are doing a great job exposing this cult, and I hope you reach out to people to keep away.

May God bless you always.

Freethinker spacer First off, we want to thank you very much for contacting us and sharing with us your story and thoughts about the 4th Watch. We are doing our best to expose the truth about the 4th Watch to the public, and we are always looking for ex-4th Watchers to provide their personal experiences with this particular cult. We are going to go through your email that you sent us and respond to the points that you talk about.

All of us involved in this project were also 4th Watch members. The head of our group was a strong believer in God when joining the church, and at first believed that the church was legit, and that they were a true church of God. He didn't know at the time that he had joined a cult, and thus didn't know the terrible mistake that he made. You mentioned how you felt it was great meeting new persons and such, and we know where you're coming from. Some of us, even after realizing the mistake we made in joining the church, continued to attend the church because it was difficult to leave, as we enjoyed many of the activities and had made many friends. But like you also said, we all began to notice "strange things".

For the head of our project, the church was trying to teach him immoral things, and they portrayed a very odd presence, such as trying to force him to cry when he sang and prayed. They wouldn't take no for an answer when telling him to go to church at least three times a week. Perhaps the most annoying, was their relentless bullying on giving them money. They were trying to get him to tithe when he didn't even have a job! He would get a dirty look every time the "donation" bag passed him by without him putting any money into it. Anyways, there were plenty of things about the church for all of us that made us think twice about why we were there. In the 4th Watch, tithing and recruiting new members is more of a focus than salvation. This is a main issue within the 4th Watch reputation.

Moving along...We made clear in our project about how the Apostle takes in money from his members but does not pay his employees or workers. We also knew that there were pastors without homes, and lived in the churches; but we have not yet heard about the cruelty that you mentioned within the ATF complex, but it doesn't surprise us. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This is very valuable information that will help educate the public about what goes on in the 4th Watch.

Now, about the Trinity. It is true that the 4th Watch rejects that teaching; and your thoughts concerning that teaching are correct. We remember our pastors teaching us that the Father and Son are seperate persons. In our case though, the Holy Spirit was also considered an individual, not just a "power inside us". But regardless, this does indeed mean that the 4th Watch believes in more than one god. However, they know that Christianity is supposed to be monotheistic, and believing in more than one god would seem too cultic. Our project head once asked his 4th Watch pastor about this, and he explained it by saying that the Father and such are all different persons, but that the "nature" of God is one. The truth is, they see God as only an idea or concept, made up by three different gods. There's just no way to rationally say otherwise. We talk about this in our deityship article under their beliefs.

When several of us left the church, we pleaded with our friends and family to leave with us, and to find a better church. Some of them did, thank goodness, but some stayed behind in the cult, unfortunately. It is good that you had someone to help take you out of there and into a better church and overall a safer place. No cult is a good environment for anybody, so it is good that you were able to leave. Some of us also had friends and family trying to get us to go, and in some cases, our pastors also warned us about visiting any other church or doing a Bible study with any other group. The head producer of our project, before understanding that the 4th Watch believed that they were the only true church, attended the 4th Watch while also attending a weekly Bible study with a totally different group of persons; non-4th Watchers. When his pastor found out, he warned him about doing that. the pastor said that they do not know the correct teachings. And when this member expressed disgust for the cult, the pastor blamed this group of persons for taking his faith away.

Now we would also like to address your comments about Arsenio Ferriol and his extravagent behavior. We have made it very clear in our website that Arsenio Ferriol is a wealthy man, who basically steals from his followers, while invoking praise that he clearly enjoys. We cannot confirm how much money he has or how luxurious his lifestyle is, but we have 4th Watchers contact us and tell us that he has no mansion or fancy car, and that he lives in a less than luxurious home. However, one of our members did tell us that she has seen for herself his mansion and fancy cars in the Philippines. We can't confirm this, but knowing what we know about him, and reading your message about his Lexus and "gold" throne, along with everything else, it is very difficult to believe that he is anything but rich and living that way. Oh, and we couldn't agree with you more about him acting like a rock star. That's how it is for many cult leaders. Even if he wasn't rich, it is clear that he enjoys victimizing others to obtain false glory.

When we did leave the 4th Watch, we watched as the friends that we made there faded away from us, until they were friends of ours no more. The cult consumed them. It is so sad to know that we were once one big family, and because now that we are no longer members of the 4th Watch, that we are no longer their friends; But you are right; the cult discourages friendships outside the 4th Watch.

We are sorry that you had to experience such a time in the 4th watch cult, but it looks like you came out as a stronger person, so good for you! You are a good example for other 4th Watchers to follow. And again, thank you so much for your email. We can't tell you how much valuable information you have given us. We are going to use parts of this email to coincide with several points we make within our project about the cult. But we would also like to publish your story on our site. We would like to display your email in our "love mail" area (You'll be the first to do this, as we don't get much love mail), and we will add this to our personal experiences area too. Is this okay? Please let us know if you do not wish for us to publish your email.

We also want to thank you for your compliments. Most of what we hear comes from angry 4th Watchers who like to ridicule and threaten us. It really made us happy to receive your email. It's always so nice to know that someone took the time to let somebody know that they're doing a good job. So thank you. And yes, we are doing our best to reach out to others to help anyone stay out of cultic organizations like the 4th Watch.

Now, with all of that said, we would like to address one additional thing. If you reviewed much of our project, you have no doubt noticed that while we are specifically against the PMCC 4th Watch cult, the project is against Christianity and most religion in general. In the beginning, our group consisted of mostly Christians with some atheists, the head producer of the project being one of the atheists. Even though we had our disagreements, we did agree that the 4th Watch was in any case, an unhealthy and dangerous cult. After the project was officially launched, our membership now mostly consists of atheists who maintain the site. We bring this up because we know you are a Christian, and we don't want our disagreements to cause any friction between us.

So while you are a Christian and might not agree with us on many of our points, at least we can agree on the fact that the PMCC 4th Watch is not a true church, but an unusual and dangerous cult. The main thing that we ask is that everyone stays away from the 4th Watch and other churches like it. Hopefully, our project has helped anyone viewing it to understand what a cult is and why the 4th Watch needs to be avoided. We always say that if you are going to belong to a religion, at least stay away from the cults and any other bad religion. Don't let your religion control you and cause you to do bad things, and to be bad persons. There are many good persons out there who consider themselves to be Christians. In fact, the head producer and atheist of our project knows many of them. What we want in the world is for everyone to get along and to promote a moral society. With that said, we are very happy that you were smart enough to get out of the 4th Watch, and as a Christian, found a better church. We wish you happiness and success with your new church.

While we are generally atheistic about our project, we greatly welcome any positive feedback from both non-believers and Christians. Such feedback from atheists is valuable to us for obvious reasons; But we are very happy that a Christian also shared with us their negative experiences with the 4th Watch. We would like to hear more from Christians like you, because persons like you set a good example for other Christians. You were smart enough to question what you were being taught, and in the end, made the right decision to escape a cultic environment, while not sacrificing your Christian beliefs and principles by finding a new church and making new Christian friends.

So once again, we thank you for your very informative email, and if there really is a God, may he bless you too. Thanks.

spacer Subject: My Testimony

Dear 4th Watch Watchers,

Wow I feel so great to know everything you have told me.. I always felt like I was the only one.. also I forgot to mention, When my pastor asked me to attend the convention last year, firstly I said no, but they would manipulate you so cleverly, that you couldnt say no.. for example.. when I said no, the pastor used her 3 year old daughter! as leverage, saying "Oh come to the convention, she misses you and wants to see you, she keeps asking where you are!, and the other pastors want to meet you also".. Her knowing that I loved her little daughter like she was my own, I thought about the child.. so they were also good at manipulation, also I was told its for God think of God first and blah blah.. so I forgot to mention that.

Also with Arsenio Ferriol, I knew that he was rich straight away, he kept reminding people like emphasizing that he has "no money" that the money he "handles" all goes towards the church, which i kind of believed also, because they build so many churches around the world.. so SOME of it goes to the church, Also every convention at the beginning they tele up the funds they have collected through out the year and compare it to last year.. and what they made was over $5 million US.. i think im not 100% sure.

And also at the conventions they teach their bible school students how to debate against other churches and other cults for eg. Seven Day Eventists, Iglesia Ni Cristo, Jehovahs Witnesses, Mormans, and Trinity teachings. And they would also continue to bombard their students with Apostleship, and defending the Apostle.. and teaching that in the Bible it mentions more Apostles and such.. Also they make their Bible School students who are to become missionaries, to raise their right hands and make an oath to the Apostle and the 4th Watch with their lives or something, and they would do this in tagalog.. so im not sure what they were saying but it looked like they were making an Oath.

Yes I knew some of the people at this website where athiest, but being christian, you cant hate anyone, you need to respect and love everyone more than yourself, my whole family is not christian, my younger sister is Muslim, and we have our disagreements, but i still love them, and if their is people who dont believe in God, thats their choice, So i dont hate them, because I dont hate 4th Watchers, i actually care more for them because they are being mislead and dont know what the truth is.. thats the sad thing about it.. and I think you guys feel that too, you care for them thats why you do this..

and about the trinity, yes monothiesm, but I have been taught that there is a difference in being and person, being is what someone is, person is who someone is.. and with God, he is one BEING, but three who's, so i guess you could say He has a mutli personality disorder or something, just to make some humor. But that is what i have been taught, God is one in BEING, but three in Person's, and inside that Being of light is three person.. Makes sence to me anyways. I asked 4th Watch once.. how many thrones in Heaven?.. three or one?.. they answered with TWO.. for the Father and Son.. and I answered.. well then their TWO Gods.. not ONE GOD.. and they ignorantly just said no and started talking about another topic..

Anyways Thank you so much for your friendly hospitality towards Christians and Non believers, remembering though true Christians, even though the name Christian is used in bad thing these days, are loving, peaceful people who dont hate anyone, but these people who call themselves Christian like 4th Watch, and the other cults I have mentioned, give the Christian name a bad name, and also demonstrate the wrong attitude, as what is taught in the bible..

So in my belief there is a God, and may He bless you always haha thank you again so much.

Freethinker spacer Thank you for your follow-up. We would also like to follow up on your last mail to us.

We wanted to comment on your story about the pastor using her daughter to convince you to go to the convention, as well as telling you that other "important persons" want to meet you. This is a tactic that is characteristic among cults that are shared by religious cults, and network marketing schemes.

One of our members who of course was a 4th Watcher, had a related experience within the cult, but which was even more dramatic...and heart-breaking. Cults often go to great lengths to keep you in their grasp, and to do this, they want you to be engaged in as many church activities as possible and of course to have the best impression of the church as you can. When someone is new to the cult, or if someone is beginning to distance theirself from the church, or when they question the teachings or express doubt, the cult executes an operation in which a "false friendship" is imposed on this particular person.

This is what happened to one of our members. This person was constantly being pushed into going to church several times a week and attending their Bible studies. At first, he was doing just that. Eventually though, he got sick of doing this. He wanted to worship God, but he also was trying to live his life. He wanted to worship God, and prayed to him, and told him he loved him everyday, but he felt that this love which he had for God would not be any less if he didn't go to church everyday. He felt that he could show even more love to God by living the life which God gave to him as a gift in the first place. This particular member was interested in volunteering in charities, and church activities were interfering.

Eventually this person stopped going to church all the time, and instead only attended the church on Sunday. After some time, the pastor was beginning to show frustration that he was no longer attending as much anymore. He also heard through the gossip of members, that he was not agreeing with all of the teachings.

One day at a gathering with many of the church members, an elder of the church sat down next to this person and started talking to him. She was very nice. They didn't talk about church, just life in general. They had some things in common, and they became really good friends. He didn't have very many friends, and so he was very welcoming to this friendship.

As time went by, this new friend would encourage our member to "go with her" to church. Sometimes she would ask him to come to a Bible study, and he would refuse, but then she would tell him how much it would mean to her if he came, so he would go. In fact, when the church needed volunteers for several projects for such occasions like the church anniversary, she would be asked to head these projects, and our member of course would help her.

Over time, because this friendship was so strong, everyone in the church started their gossiping again, and several persons believed that they were a "couple". She started to get closer to him, and they would talk about personal issues, even tell each other secrets about themselves. Our member also expressed some doubts about the church's teachings.

After a while, our member no longer could believe that the 4th Watch was a true church; but he had a difficult time leaving because he enjoyed spending time with the persons there, especially this close friend. One day however, he had enough. Several events eventually led up to him finally making the decision to leave. One example of these events is when the pastor told our member that one of his best friends was a bad person because she was not in the "correct" church. Our member went off on the pastor, and that pretty much ended the relationship with the church.

But when our member left, he expected to still be friends with everyone in the church; but this would be far from true. The woman who was his good friend in the church would call him and ask him to come back to church, but he would refuse. Instead, he asked to see her like any normal friend would, to hang out together like normal friends. Well, one day she told him that she didn't want to hang out, that the only reason she kept asking him to go to church was because she was under orders from the pastor to keep inviting him.

Our member was crushed. He found out that all this time, this woman who befriended him was used by the pastor to keep him from leaving the church. The whole thing was a manufactured friendship, using deceit and playing with emotions, all for the wicked intentions of the cult.

All this time, she was working on him to be his friend, so that she could keep him going to church events and participating in activities. Also, the whole time they were friends, he would tell her personal things about himself, and his doubts about the church, and she would report this information back to the pastor. She was a spy. Later on, he would find out after leaving the church that she was telling other members things which he told her that were never meant to be told to others. All this time he believed she was his friend, and after he left, not only did she stop talking to him, but she was now mocking him.

As mentioned, this is a tactic among cults, and unfortunately, is one of the more hurtful ones. A tactic like this shows just how truly predatory the 4th Watch can be. As for your comment on how the pastor was telling you how other pastors want to meet you, this is yet another tactic to keep you within their cultic grip. Of course, it's a lie, but it works. It makes you feel wanted, even important, and you don't want to let anybody down.

One of our members had a similar experience, though it was not with the 4th Watch, but a network marketing company, in which a person was trying to recruit him. The woman trying to recruit him was telling him how nice it would be for him to talk to her boss, and that she would try to get him on the phone to talk to him. When she got him, she acted surprise, as if he was usually "too busy". And after talking to him, he would say how smart he was and how they need to meet because there could be some "real opportunities" involved.

In reality, the "boss" was simply waiting for her to call, and the whole meeting was nothing but a setup to make it easier to recruit a new person into their company. Anyways, like in your case, your emotions were being preyed upon, by making you believe you were "important" to these pastors who wanted to meet you, and because you are a naturally compassionate person, you didn't want to let any of them down, especially the 3 year-old girl. Children are a powerful tool for persuasion when used on compassionate persons.

It is unfortunate that cults like the 4th Watch play with persons' emotions for their selfish purposes, and it is one of the leading causes for ex-members to truly feel victimized. Anyway, sorry to make that comment so long, but it's a very real and very heart-breaking reality of the 4th Watch cult. We have no doubt that pastors, when they are trained to be pastors, are taught to employ these tactics on their members. Pastors are taught they are saving souls, so preying on emotions are justified.

We're interested to learn more about what you said about 4th Watch missionaries making an oath to Arsenio. It's good that persons like you are letting us know about these things so that we can further investigate them and report them when we uncover the truth. Any future information that you learn about them would be very much welcomed by us.

Thank you for letting us publish your story. We will be doing that shortly. We already used some of your comments to expand on some of the points we make in the project. It has been very helpful. We also thank your for not only letting us post your story, but for including your name (assuming it's your real name). This is because in our project, everything we do is meant to educate the public, and it is important to us that our information is accurate and comes from real persons. By reading your story and knowing who it comes from, this helps to build our credibility for both 4th Watchers and those who might possibly become their victims.

We are happy to hear your thoughts about our differences in religions. Like we said, some of us are Christians and some are atheists. The head producer of our project became a devout Christian after joining the 4th Watch, and they practically turned him into a complete atheist shortly before leaving. While attending the 4th Watch though, he attended a Bible study every week with a different group separate from the 4th Watch. Through these Bible studies, he actually learned quite a bit about Jesus, and even though he is an atheist, Jesus remains a favorite inspiring person to him.

You also bring up a good point. We mentioned in our project where we talk about the followers of the 4th Watch, that while it is easy to hate them, we have to remember that many of them are victims too. The 4th Watch, like all cults, consist of professional psychological programmers which brainwash naïve and trusting persons, and they often go after such persons in times of vulnerability when they are most easy to manipulate. Also, many of these 4th Watchers were born in the cult, raised in the cult, and grew up on their cultic teachings. These persons rarely stand a chance. We have to remember this. Admittedly, it is easy to forget, and we should probably emphasize these thoughts; But the truth is, we sincerely care for these persons, and we hope that they leave the 4th Watch and find new churches, and to seek exit counseling if necessary. Sometimes we wonder if we do any good, and if we should keep trying, but then we think of the children who we left behind in the cult, and we are reminded as to why we keep the project going.

God bless you.

That makes me feel so much better that there is others out there that are like me, about the story, of the ex 4th watcher, i have had that happen to me also, i had a friend who was born inside the church, and her and i would continue to hang out alot, and we might have started to like each other in that way, and i think she might have similar feelings towards me, she and her family are one eyed 4th watchers, and she would constantly send my msgs saying she misses me, and this would be nearly every day or 3rd day, but untill i told her and my old pastor, that im no longer going to their church but to another, i have not heard from them again, more my friend, but im not surprised.. i knew this would happen, and it is sad because like i said her and i were very close, and maybe it was stuctured but she would tell me her secrets also, and ask me for advice, so i think she actually was truly a friend, but ever since i said im no longer in their church.. i have not since heard from her..

Another thing I found weird was the number of filipino people, they are wonderful people, but why only filipino?.. Since im from Australia, I always thought they target homesick filipino people.. and use them for recruitment, in saying "We are also filipinos, you will feel at home with us if you come here" plus.. I heard a story from the bereans, that the reason why Mr. Ferriol, started his own church was because he was in a church with Americans, and that they would always be above him and teach him things he didnt believe personally or "understand".. and he started his own church, and labelled himself as an Apostle, studied Apostleship having no higher authority, so they must believe him and only him, so i think to myself sometimes he, is very controlling or very power hungry, and wants to be his own authority above everyone else.. thats what i heard why he started his own church anyways.. again from my friend when we had our "alone time"..

I hope that helps also..

untill next time take care always.

Freethinker spacer Hey,

Sorry to hear about your "friend" in the church. Just real quick, we also mention in our project how the 4th Watch is almost exclusively Filipino. We use this fact as a way to show everyone that Arsenio is not a true apostle. Think about it. If he really is the true teacher of the true church, then 95% of all persons in Heaven are going to be Filipino. Is God racist? If he truly is the "Sent One" from God, then surely he'd be able to unite all races and nationalities into the true church of Christ; But he hasn't done this. In fact, he has done nothing to prove his apostleship.

Hey, thats what i said to my old pastor.. they say only those in the 4th Watch will be saved.. then i would say well the God must be bias, or hypocritical, because he says whoever believs in him and is baptized will be saved.. so it gets confusing but i know they are loosing it.. Yeah i heard that also that he was a ex member of four square church, which kind of has a familiar number to his current church.. 4, 4th.. well he tells the story of how he became an apostle to the followers, he also calls himself the "Goodman of the house" which is parable which Jesus told his deciples, "if the good man of the house knows what time the theif is coming, he would keep watch" now when arsenio says this he emphasizes the word "WATCH" and he believes this is not a parable but a prediction of himself.

and yeah it annoyed me also.. that they called it an international convention.. but 98% were filipino.. and thats one thing that i didnt understand and kind of upset me.. and they would wear uniforms too similar to mormons or jehovahs witnesses, again i think they are told at bible school, preach to filipinos in the country they are sent too, because they know filipinos get home sick, and like being around other filipinos to feel at home.. so they use that to their advantage, and if it was the true church it wouldnt do this exactly right there

Mr. Ferriols story, is like this "He was upset and prayed to God in this field somewhere, and a storm was moving over him and he looked up and lightning struck and inside the lightning he saw words that said "Go and teach the gospel to the world" and at the same time he heard a voice saying these words, surprisingly in english.. and after that he started lifting of the ground and saw visions of the future and seeing mountains and bridges.. and then got given the gift of knowing the "truth".. and after that he woke up lieing down this field and the storm wasnt there anymore.. i think it was something like that. but its not predicted in revelations..

My friend's parents are members of the 4th watch and they literally HURT him to convince him anything about the church. Like he complains to me about how he busted his lip today after expressing his thoughts against the church and his mom slapped him and punched him in the face.

He said they're forbidden to go to this site and are always monitored about it. So he can't submit his testimonies. as a concerned friend, I thought it would be right to do it for him.

Freethinker spacer Thank you for your email. We will be placing this in our testimony section. If this is true, you are a good friend and we thank you. Cults have a history of abuse, and it is not suprising that a cult like the 4th Watch would have its own share of abuse. This is truly heart-breaking and we hope to keep in contact with you so that we might be able to help in any way we can. We fear that this will not be the only email we receive that describes child abuse from parents who are members of the PMCC 4th Watch cult. But if anyone ever wonders why we are committed to this project, this is the reason. We want to sincerely thank you for the concern you have for your friend, and for submitting this testimony. We have to stand up to the cult, and not let them ruin anymore lives. If we continue to get more stories like this, we might have to consider taking legal action, or at least conduct a thorough investigation into this matter.
